Landfill Liners
Creates a durable barrier that limits leachate migration into surrounding soil and groundwater.WHAT IS A GEOMEMBRANE?
A low-permeability liner for engineered containment.
A geomembrane is a continuous polymer barrier designed to control the movement of liquids or gases. Geomembrane liners are used within landfill, pond, canal, reservoir and industrial containment systems where seepage control and environmental protection are critical.
Park supplies HDPE geomembrane systems coordinated with subgrade preparation, protective geotextiles, drainage layers, anchorage and field-seaming requirements. The liner must be considered as part of the complete containment system.
GEOMEMBRANE LINER SELECTION
Containment performance depends on every interface.
Polymer type, thickness, chemical resistance, flexibility, seam quality and puncture protection influence geomembrane performance. Site geometry, exposed conditions, contained media and installation sequence must also be evaluated.
A geomembrane manufacturer or supplier should review the application requirements without assuming that one liner construction suits every landfill, water-management or industrial project.
GEOMEMBRANE FAQ
Questions about liners and containment.
What is a geomembrane?+
A geomembrane is a low-permeability polymer sheet used as a barrier to control liquid or gas migration. It forms part of engineered lining and containment systems for landfills, ponds, canals, reservoirs and industrial facilities.
What is a geomembrane liner used for?+
Geomembrane liners are used for water containment, seepage control, landfill base and cap systems, leachate management, secondary containment and other environmental or hydraulic applications.
What are geomembranes made from?+
Geomembranes can be manufactured from different polymer families. HDPE is widely used where low permeability, chemical resistance and welded field seams are required, but final material selection depends on the application.
How should a geomembrane system be selected?+
Selection should consider contained media, chemical exposure, subgrade preparation, puncture protection, temperature, slope geometry, seam requirements, drainage, installation conditions and required service life.
